Our client is seeking a General Manager in Northeast Pennsylvania for their family-owned muscle car build shop. THE WHAT: As General Manager, you'll oversee all aspects of shop operations, from team leadership and project estimation to quality control and customer relationships. This role requires both deep technical knowledge of muscle cars and strong business management skills to drive growth while maintaining exceptional build quality.
MUST HAVES:
Proven experience in automotive or specialty vehicle management
Strong technical knowledge of automotive systems and custom build processes
Demonstrated leadership abilities managing skilled trades teams
Experience with project estimation and financial management
Ability to implement and maintain rigorous QA/QC standards
Excellence in customer relationship management
Knowledge of industry safety standards and regulations

THE DAY TO DAY
Operational Leadership
Oversee daily shop operations, workflow, and project scheduling
Implement and maintain QA/QC standards
Manage budgets and financial performance
Ensure compliance with safety regulations
Drive continuous improvement initiatives
Team Development
Lead and mentor skilled technicians
Foster a culture of accountability and excellence
Manage performance and provide ongoing training
Recruit and retain top talent
Customer Experience
Engage with clients throughout project lifecycles
Ensure clear communication on project progress
Maintain strong relationships with customers
Handle high-level customer interactions

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Proven experience in automotive or specialty vehicle management
Strong technical knowledge of muscle cars and custom builds
Demonstrated leadership experience with skilled trades teams
Experience with project estimation and financial management
Excellence in customer relationship management
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience managing a custom build or restoration shop
Certification in automotive management or related field
Established relationships in the muscle car community
Track record of business growth and team development
SALARY & BENEFITS
Our client offers a competitive compensation package including:
Base salary range of $95,000-$105,000 with $10,000 bonus potential.Â
