THE WHAT:

  • As a Business Development Representative, you'll focus on building and maintaining relationships with commercial property owners, managers, and key decision-makers.

  • This role requires a strategic approach to business development, with a focus on long-term relationship building rather than transactional sales.


MUST HAVES:

  • 5+ years of professional business development experience selling to B2B, including in the construction, real estate, commercial insurance, and/or trades fields (selling property managers, developers, facility managers, etc.). Whether you've sold linens, water jugs, technology, cleaning supplies, or anything else to corporate headquarters, hotels, restaurants, hospitals, property management companies, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and any other entity that has a lot of building structures.

  • You are a savvy, driven, competitive, and hungry individual who loves a challenge, and understands this Houston market, including having a strong network and connections within the industry.

THE WHERE:

THE HOW:

There are three key strategic initiatives that this person will be initially tasked with:

  1. Developing and implementing a strategic plan to penetrate key commercial accounts and property management companies in the territory

  2. Creating and executing a comprehensive marketing and networking strategy to build brand awareness in the commercial space

  3. Building and maintaining a robust pipeline of commercial opportunities through strategic relationship development and industry involvement


THE NUTS & BOLTS:

Base salary range of $60,000-$75,000 plus uncapped quarterly commission structure. Total expected OTE, including base salary is $75,000-$100,000+.

We're seeking Business Development Reps with a minimum of 5 years in outside B2B sales, ideally selling to commercial clients such as property managers or facilities managers. WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

As a Business Development Representative, you'll be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with commercial property owners, managers, and key decision-makers.


Key responsibilities include:


Strategic Business Development

  • Develop and execute territory growth strategies

  • Build relationships with commercial property owners and managers

  • Identify and pursue opportunities with property management companies, public entities, school districts, and other commercial entities

  • Create and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities

  • Meet or exceed established sales quotas and activity metrics


Relationship Management & Networking

  • Actively participate in relevant industry associations and networking events

  • Maintain relationships throughout project lifecycle to ensure customer satisfaction

  • Build and nurture long-term partnerships with key accounts

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to commercial clients

  • Represent the company at industry events and trade shows

  • Creative networking - everything from charity golf events to networking groups to hosting company workshops/events to local conferences. The more you put yourself out there as the market expert in the space, the more relationships and connections you’ll make.


Marketing & Business Planning

  • Develop and execute strategic marketing initiatives

  • Create and manage business development budgets

  • Plan and coordinate marketing events and activities

  • Utilize digital media and modern marketing tools effectively

  • Present innovative ideas for market penetration and growth


Systems & Process Management

  • Maintain accurate records in Luxor CRM system

  • Track and report on key performance indicators

  • Develop and maintain organized schedule of activities and events

  • Create and deliver regular performance reports

  • Utilize technology effectively for pipeline management


Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 5+ years of professional business development experience

  • Experience working with commercial property management companies

  • Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets

  • Experience with CRM systems and sales technology


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in restoration, construction, or insurance industries

  • Established network in local market

  • History of successful commercial account development

  • Experience with property management companies and commercial real estate

SALARY & BENEFITS

Our client provides a comprehensive compensation package including:


Base salary range of $60,000-$70,000 plus uncapped quarterly commission structure. Total expected OTE, including base salary, is $75,000-$100,000+.
